In a historic night where CJ McCollum’s sharpshooting propelled the New Orleans Pelicans (26-18) to a franchise-record 153-124 victory over the Utah Jazz (22-23), Zion Williamson showcased a new facet of his game.

Playing the role of ‘Point Zion,’ Williamson not only contributed 17 points but also dished out a career-high 11 assists, orchestrating the Pelicans’ offensive brilliance.

Reflecting on his performance, Williamson attributed his success to the trust placed in him by coaches and teammates, allowing him to take on the playmaking responsibilities.

“Just my coaches and my teammates kinda trusting me to be ‘Point Zion’ throughout most of the game,” Williamson stated. “I would say that definitely helped. You just kinda get a feel for the game and you just get a feel for where my teammates gonna be at.”
