The Charlotte Hornets (9-30) snapped a six-game losing streak by narrowly edging past the San Antonio Spurs (7-34) with a 124-120 victory on Friday night.

LaMelo Ball erupted for 28 points, with 16 points coming in a fourth-quarter surge. The Hornets’ victory was a collective effort, with the No. 2 overall pick, Brandon Miller, contributing 24 points, while Miles Bridges added 23, and P.J. Washington chipped in with 20.

San Antonio’s rookie sensation, Victor Wembanyama, sat out for the sixth time this season due to an ankle sprain.

Despite the Spurs’ efforts, led by Keldon Johnson’s 25 points and a fourth-quarter burst from Tre Jones with 16 points, the team faced its fourth consecutive loss.
