Austin Hollins has concluded his tenure with Zalgiris Kaunas and is poised to re-enter the basketball player market, as reported by sources to BasketNews.

Zalgiris opted to separate from Hollins, renowned for his defensive abilities, to acquire a player of a different profile, specifically a combo guard, according to insiders from BasketNews.

The 32-year-old American wing became a part of the Lithuanian champions in December under a non-guaranteed contract.

“He is an amazing human being. The best teammate you can find. He is helping the coach and his teammates. Whatever happens, I’m very thankful for how he did his job,” said Zalgiris head coach Andrea Trinchieri following Friday’s loss in Barcelona.
