Amidst contract extension disagreements, the Toronto Raptors are exploring trade options for 29-year-old forward Pascal Siakam, who is on an expiring contract.

NBA insider Shams Charania reveals that the Raptors engaged in serious discussions with the Sacramento Kings regarding a potential trade involving Siakam.

Charania reports, “I’m told the Raptors and Kings were in active conversations about a Pascal Siakam trade… revolving around Harrison Barnes. At this point, the only way it ignites is if Toronto comes back to Sacramento,” during FanDuel TV’s Run It Back.

Siakam has been a key player for the Raptors this season, averaging 22.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5 assists in 34.9 minutes per game.

As both parties struggle to reach a contract extension agreement, trade talks could signify a significant shift in Siakam’s future in the NBA.
