The New York Knicks have waived DaQuan Jeffries, incurring just over $800,000 in dead salary for the season. This move was necessary for the Knicks to accommodate OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn in their recent trade with the Toronto Raptors.

In exchange, New York traded RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a 2024 second-round pick from the Detroit Pistons.

DaQuan Jeffries had a brief stint with the Knicks, appearing in 10 games this season. Over his five-year career, he has also played for the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies.
