In a historic move, last year saw Mac McClung, a G League player, not only invited but winning the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, leaving an indelible mark on the competition.

Despite the triumph, McClung’s journey to secure a guaranteed spot in the NBA remains unfulfilled as he currently plays for the Osceola Magic in the G League.

The 24-year-old point guard, known for his athleticism, is set for another opportunity to showcase his dunking prowess on the grand stage.

NBA insider Shams Charania revealed in a tweet, “The NBA has delivered an invitation to Mac McClung to participate in the 2024 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, per sources.”

McClung, the reigning G League Player of the Month, has been exceptional, averaging 25.4 PPG, 6.3 APG, and 4.3 RPG for Orlando’s Osceola Magic this season.
