In a recent matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, the New Orleans Pelicans encountered the highly anticipated French rookie, Victor Wembanyama.

Despite the Spurs’ loss, the 19-year-old showcased his skills, scoring 17 points and securing 13 rebounds.

After the matchup, Pelicans’ standout Zion Williamson, himself a former number one draft pick, shared his insights on Wembanyama’s potential impact on the court.

“He’s a threat all over the court,” stated Williamson. “He’s going to be a matchup nightmare because he can get his shot off whenever he wants. I think the more he plays in the NBA style offense, the better he’ll get at it… His presence alone can alter a lot of shots. He has long arms, he’s tall. Just his presence alone can affect the offense.”
