The Minnesota Timberwolves (18-5) secured a convincing 119-101 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (15-9), overcoming an early 15-point deficit despite Luka Doncic’s 39-point performance.

Naz Reid led the charge for the Timberwolves with a season-high 27 points, 19 of which came in the first half. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed a double-double with 21 points and a season-high 17 rebounds, steering the Wolves to victory and preventing their first losing streak of the season.

While Doncic continued his impressive scoring streak with 39 points and 13 rebounds, the Timberwolves’ defensive prowess held the Mavericks to their third-lowest scoring game of the season and their worst three-point shooting performance at 21.9% (7 of 32).

Anthony Edwards returned to the Timberwolves’ lineup, scoring nine points after missing three of the previous five games with a right hip pointer. Reid’s outstanding performance, including seven 3-pointers, showcased the Timberwolves’ depth.

The absence of Kyrie Irving, out with a foot injury for the third consecutive game, added to the Mavericks’ challenges.
