Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl gave his thoughts on the team’s 9-11 start after last night’s 119-106 home loss vs. the New York Knicks.

Reporter: “You’re now 20 games in, a quarter of the season, got 4 days off to kind of reflect. Where do you think you guys are compared to what you thought you might be with a relatively new system?”

Poeltl: “I didn’t really have any specific expectations. Where I think we are right now: we’re in a spot where we’ve still got a lot of room for improvement. I don’t think it was a horrible start to the season. I think we would have wished for a little bit better record, but in general we’re playing the kind of basketball we want to play, it’s just not easy with a whole new system, new coach, and everything to get going right away and be 100% of what you think you can do right away. So I think it’s going to take a little bit of time, but we’ll get there.”
