Former Lakers point guard Patrick Beverley has declared his intent to bring extra intensity whenever facing his ex-teammate Austin Reaves throughout the rest of his career.

In a recent Lakers vs. 76ers matchup, Beverley showcased his commitment with an aggressive defensive display against Reaves.

The roots of this intensified rivalry trace back to last season when Beverley, then with the Bulls, took offense to Reaves’ ‘too small’ gesture after scoring over him in Chicago, Beverley’s hometown.

In a half-joking manner, Beverley explained the motivation behind his relentless approach. “How dare you come in Chicago, in my hood, and hit me with the too little?… Every time I see the Lakers until I retire, whatever team Austin Reaves is on, I’m on his ass,” he said on his podcast.
