In a showdown between struggling teams, Kyle Kuzma delivered a commanding performance, scoring 32 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, as the Washington Wizards (3-14) emphatically ended their nine-game losing streak with a 126-107 victory over the Detroit Pistons (2-15).

On the other side, the Pistons continued their struggle, extending their losing streak to 14 games.

Deni Avdija and Danilo Gallinari added 16 points each for the Wizards.

The Pistons were led by Cunningham, who tallied 26 points and seven assists. Jalen Duren recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome the determined Wizards.

The turning point in the game came in the third quarter when Tyus Jones scored eight quick points, propelling Washington to a 71-63 lead.

Kuzma then took charge, finishing the quarter with an additional 18 points and seven rebounds, establishing a comfortable lead for the Wizards.

Entering the final quarter with a 94-83 advantage, Washington continued to dominate, scoring the first five points and preventing any significant Pistons comeback.
