Anthony Edwards showcased his versatility with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves (10-3) to a convincing 117-100 victory over the New York Knicks (8-6) on Monday night.

Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 20 points to the Wolves’ success, maintaining their undefeated home record at 6-0 and securing their ninth win in the last 10 games.

After a quiet first half, Edwards took charge in the third quarter, contributing nine points in a crucial 16-5 Wolves run.

Mike Conley’s third 3-pointer extended the lead to 76-61 with 7:53 left in the period, and the Timberwolves maintained a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.

Rudy Gobert added 16 points for the Timberwolves, showcasing a balanced offensive effort. However, Minnesota faced adversity with forward Jaden McDaniels leaving the game in the first quarter due to a sprained right ankle, opening up opportunities for Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who finished with 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

The Wolves’ bench played a crucial role in the victory, outscoring the Knicks’ reserves 43-30, with Naz Reid contributing 10 points.

Despite Quentin Grimes returning to the starting lineup for the Knicks after missing two games with a sprained left wrist, New York struggled to match the Timberwolves’ offensive efficiency.

Jalen Brunson (25 points) and Julius Randle (21) led the Knicks in scoring.
