However, the first quarter was marked by on-court tensions, resulting in a rare occurrence of five technical fouls.
Davis, Santi Aldama, Desmond Bane, Russell, and Grizzlies’ head coach Taylor Jenkins were all recipients of technical fouls during the heated exchange which started with an altercation between Davis and Aldama under the basket.
