Turkish powerhouse Efes Pilsen strengthened their roster with an another Besiktas Cola Turka player, Preston Shumpert (1.98, 1979, SF). Experienced forward had a great season in Turkey and averaged 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 steals in the ULEB Cup.
American player had also played in Europe for Italian teams like Livorno, A.J.Milano, Climamio Bologna and Benetton Treviso. This is Efes' fourth transfer from Besiktas Cola Turka, after the moves of Ergin Ataman (head coach), Kaya Peker and Sinan Güler. Preston Shumpert is Efes Pilsen's fifth foreign player and the club will probably add a center to complete their roster.
