The NBA has taken action against the Phoenix Suns for their early free agency discussions, resulting in the rescission of the 2024 second-round Draft pick acquired from Orlando in a prior trade.

The league’s decision follows a violation of NBA rules regarding the timing of free agency negotiations, particularly involving Drew Eubanks.

The 26-year-old center/forward, joined the Suns during the offseason, signing on July 4, 2023.

The penalty stems from the finding that the Suns engaged in discussions regarding Eubanks before the permissible date for such negotiations.

Eubanks, who previously played for the Trail Blazers, averaged 6.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 20.3 minutes per game during the last season.
