In his first game with the Knicks, Donte DiVincenzo didn’t make the impact he had hoped for.

Despite being a crucial addition to the team during the summer, he didn’t score any points during the 15 minutes he played in the 108-104 loss to the Celtics.

Known for his 36.2 percent accuracy from 3-point range throughout his career, DiVincenzo, who signed a four-year contract worth $46.9 million in the offseason, was expected to fill the role of a floor spacer in Coach Tom Thibodeau’s lineup, replacing the traded Obi Toppin.

Unfortunately, he missed all four of his shot attempts, including three from beyond the arc.

“Obviously, I know there’s going to be a different type of energy, regular-season game, Boston, all the moves they made in the offseason,” DiVincenzo had said before the game. “We’ve had a lot of time to prepare for the game.

“Honestly, I’m excited just to get the train moving. Not looking too far ahead, but at the same time it’s a long season. So just get those early jitters out and keep it moving.”
