In response to the team’s lackluster start under Joan Penarroya’s leadership, Baskonia is poised to welcome back Dusko Ivanovic, as reported by Eugenio Muñoz of MARCA, marking the illustrious coach’s fourth tenure with the Spanish club.

The recent string of disappointing performances against prominent EuroLeague rivals and domestic contenders has prompted the management to facilitate a strategic change within the coaching staff.

With an impressive coaching legacy at Baskonia, Ivanovic previously guided the team to significant victories, including a memorable double triumph in the 2001-02 season, cementing his status as a revered figure in the club’s history.

Accompanying Ivanovic on his return journey to Baskonia is former player Mirza Teletovic, renowned for his pivotal contributions during his previous stint at Baskonia from 2006 to 2012.

Having experienced a turbulent start with the Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Ivanovic’s swift departure from the Serbian club has paved the way for his reintegration into the Baskonia coaching roster.
