In his third season as captain with FC Barcelona, Nicolas Laprovittola discussed the team’s summer choices in a recent interview with Esports RAC1.

The club went through substantial transformations, notably adopting a rigorous cost-cutting strategy. The abrupt exit of former head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius deeply affected the team, and Laprovittola conveyed appreciation for his influence.

“We were all very happy with Saras because there were results and the team was winning, but now it’s a different story. I have to adapt to what they ask of me. Roger is the coach, the one in charge, and the one who has to lead us,” Laprovittola said.

“Saras left a memorable mark on Barca; he defined a style of play. Under his guidance, Barca reached three consecutive EuroLeague Final Fours. I think Saras is the best coach I’ve had. He has taken me to another level. I never thought I could get there.”

Even with the change in coaching staff, Laprovittola voiced his backing for Roger Grimau, emphasizing the different philosophies and methods that each coach brings to the table.

“In this new chapter, we must adapt and rally behind Roger as our coach. Whether it’s during training or providing motivation, we need to support each other,” Laprovittola stated.
