Despite being mentioned in trade talks this offseason, Tyler Herro is determined to make himself indispensable to the Miami Heat by the end of this season.

During the Damian Lillard trade saga, Herro’s name was frequently brought up in potential trade offers. However, Portland ultimately declined the Heat’s proposals.

Now, as the new season approaches, Herro is focused on showcasing his worth on the Heat roster. He expressed his goal to become “untouchable” to the team.

“Honestly, my goal this year is to get my name untouchable,” Herro said, per Anthony Chiang of Miami Herald. “That’s my goal. At the end of this season, they won’t want to trade me.”

During the previous season, Herro averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in nearly 35 minutes of play.
