Devin Booker, one of the Phoenix Suns’ star players, had high praise for his new teammate, Jusuf Nurkic, following a recent trade that brought the Bosnian center to the Suns’ roster.

In a recent interview, Booker expressed his admiration for Nurkic, describing him as “a beast” on the court.

He lauded Nurkic’s multifaceted skill set, highlighting his playmaking abilities and basketball IQ, which he believes are exceptional for a big man.

Booker also emphasized Nurkic’s communication skills, pointing out how he actively engages with his teammates on the floor.

“He’s a beast,” Booker said, per Kellan Olson. “He can playmake. His IQ for a big is off the charts. And he talks. He communicates with you. … Somebody that you know knows the game like that — knows rotations, knows how to play. I listen to him and I try to implement it.”

Nurkic’s arrival in Phoenix comes as part of a three-team trade that saw Damian Lillard heading to the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Suns acquired Nurkic, along with Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson.
