Freshly acquired by the Milwaukee Bucks in a blockbuster trade that marked the end of his 11-year tenure with the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard opened up about his outlook and role within his new team during the Bucks’ Media Day.
The 33-year-old superstar expressed his adaptability and readiness to embrace his role, saying, “I am who I’m going to be. It’s just a matter of how well I can take care of myself, how sharp I can be.”
As he delves into this new chapter of his career, Lillard emphasized the importance of understanding the team’s purpose, expectations, playing style, and the unique talents of his new teammates.
“When I looked at the roster, it was very easy for me to make sense of what my job is going to be,” Lillard added, acknowledging the presence of established stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez.
