Joel Embiid is facing a deadline to make a decision on which national team he will compete for in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He currently has the option to represent the USA, France, or Cameroon, as Cameroon secured a spot in the pre-Olympic qualifiers.

It’s no secret that the French basketball federation has reached out to him.

During an interview on the “Stephen Time show” on the French radio station RMC, the president of the federation, Jean-Pierre Siutat, mentioned that he anticipates receiving Joel’s decision by October 10th.

“It will happen very quickly in all cases,” Siutat said. “We hope so and I think he knows it. We may have an answer by October 10. We have set this deadline.”
