Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was taken into custody for an alleged assault on his girlfriend at the Millennium Hilton New York, situated near the United Nations.

The incident unfolded late on Monday night and resulted in injuries, including a broken bone and bruises, sustained by his girlfriend. The altercation began when Porter Jr. found himself locked out of their hotel room following a night out.

Hotel security contacted the police, leading to Porter Jr. being charged with second-degree assault and strangulation. At the time of the report, there was no information available regarding his legal representation.
