Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. finds himself in legal turmoil after being arrested in New York City on charges of assaulting his girlfriend, a WNBA player, as reported by Aaron Katersky of ABC7 New York.
The altercation resulted in injuries, including a broken bone and bruises, prompting the involvement of hotel security and the police. Kevin Porter Jr. now faces charges of second-degree assault and strangulation.
In response to the incident, the Rockets issued the following statement through Adam Spolane: “We are in the process of gathering information surrounding the matter involving Kevin Porter Jr. We have no further comment at this time.”
