Free agent center JaVale McGee is signing with the Sacramento Kings, according to Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report (Twitter link). Following his release from the Mavericks earlier this week, McGee is now prepared to become a part of another strong team in the Western Conference.

Having inked a contract with Dallas in the previous year, JaVale McGee committed to a three-year agreement valued at $17 million. He began the season as a starting player, but his presence in the rotation diminished rapidly.

Over the course of his time with the Mavericks, McGee participated in 42 games, during which he averaged just 8.5 minutes on the court per game – marking a career-low playing time. Within these games, he maintained an average of 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.
