President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced the team has waived forward Xavier Sneed, via a team press release.

Sneed appeared in four games with the Hornets in the 2022-23 campaign, tallying 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 12.0 minutes per game. He played in nine contests with the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz in 2021-22, notching 4.3 minutes per game.

In addition to suiting up for the Hornets this year in the California Classic and NBA 2K24 Summer League, Sneed has spent the last three seasons (2020-23) with the Greensboro Swarm, averaging 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals in 86 games (81 starts). His G League experience also includes an 11-game stint with the Salt Lake City Stars in 2021-22.

Sneed went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft following a standout four-year career at Kansas State.
