In a recent appearance at Risecon 2023, Tim Grover, the esteemed personal trainer to legendary athletes, including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwyane Wade, made a pick between two of basketball’s greatest: Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
When asked to pick between the two NBA legends, Grover presented a compelling argument for Jordan’s greatness. “In the history of the NBA, only four players have accomplished winning the scoring title, regular-season MVP, First Team defensive player, leading the playoffs in scoring, and clinching the Finals MVP – all in a single season. Then, he inquired about those wearing LeBrons, and not a single person stood up.
To drive his point home, Grover highlighted the cultural significance of Jordan’s iconic sneaker line. “We’ve all heard stories about individuals getting robbed for their Jordans. Have you ever heard a story of anyone getting stuck for a pair of Brons?” he asked, to which the audience responded with a resounding “No.” “There you go,” Grover concluded.
