Former NBA star Jamal Crawford has high hopes for the pairing of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving as they prepare to team up for the Mavericks in the upcoming season.

Following the trade that brought Irving to Dallas, the 31-year-old point guard joined forces with Doncic, who has already proven his exceptional skills on the court. Despite the Mavericks’ disappointing performance in the 2022-23 season, Crawford believes the duo will thrive next season.

“Luka is special on the court. He is a magician, and he and Kyrie [Irving] will be better this year,” Crawford expressed in an interview with Landon Buford. “Now that they have that chemistry of working through things, obviously, pieces. So, when Luka is playing, I’m tuned in.”

Mavs fans eagerly await the exciting partnership of Doncic and Irving, hoping that their combined talents will lead the team to greater success in the upcoming NBA season.
