Lithuanian champions found a replacement for DeJuan Collins who left the club and signed with Lokomotiv Rostov. Zalgiris signed American point guard Willie Deane from Bulgarian champions Lukoil Akademik Sofia. 28-year-old guard signed 1+1 contract with Zalgiris.
Willie Deane was one of the main stars on his last team averaging 18.5 points per game in ULEB Cup. His scoring stats were slightly better in Bulgarian league where he was scoring 19 points per game.
So far Willie Deane is the first signing for Zalgiris this summer.
