The Warriors made a surprising trade as they sent Jordan Poole to the Wizards for Chris Paul in a multi-player trade.
Coming off of a championship season in 2022, Golden State was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Lakers this year.
The goal for the Dubs is to win now and that is what the Paul trade signifies, says Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson.
“It’s been a great week,” Atkinson said. “We’re obviously hungry, we are hungry to get back to the championship level. We made it to the final eight last year but that is not good enough, not in this organization. We’re excited about what we’ve done this past week, excited for next season. We’re ready to rock.”
