Zalgiris has made its first roster move for the upcoming season, bidding farewell to Isaiah Taylor and welcoming Naz Mitrou-Long as his replacement. Mitrou-Long, formerly with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, signed a 1+1 deal with Zalgiris.

The 30-year-old Canadian guard brings NBA and G-League experience from his time with the Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers, and Fort Wayne Mad Ants. After a stint in Italy with Germani Brescia, he joined Milan in the EuroLeague for the 2022-2023 season.

During his debut EuroLeague campaign, Mitrou-Long averaged 7.4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 17 minutes per game. In Italian League, he contributed 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in nearly 20 minutes of action.

Having visited Kaunas and receiving positive feedback from former Zalgiris players, Mitrou-Long quickly made his decision to join the team. The player expressed his excitement about the team’s rich traditions, the vibrant arena atmosphere, and the opportunity to become a better basketball player in Zalgiris.
