The Toronto Raptors have finally scheduled the conduct of their final round of interviews next week, with their new head coach soon to be named, sources told TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

There were past reports already that team president Masai Ujiri is narrowing down his finalists for the coaching vacancy from the wide search and inquiry he made.

Although no names were being clearly reported yet who made it to the cut, Lewenberg pointed out that ex-Toronto assistant Sergio Scariolo is in and believed to be a finalist, while Sacramento Kings assistant Jordi Fernandez is also on the run.

JJ Redick, Steve Nash, and Darko Rajakovic are some other names that emerged for the Raptors’ coaching opening.

After the Phoenix Suns reportedly agreed on a multi-year deal with Frank Vogel, Toronto remains the only team that is yet to announce a new head coach. They moved on from Nick Nurse after their five-year partnership.
