Sergio Scariolo will reportedly continue to be part of the Toronto Raptors coaching staff beyond this season, according to Eurohoops’ report.
The Spanish head coach was hired by the Raptors during the summer of 2018 being part of the coaching staff that led the franchise to its first NBA title. He will sign a multi-year deal with the team.
Scariolo has a long list of accolades as a head coach in international level as the lead of the Spanish national team for two runs (silver and bronze medal). He has also three EuroBasket trophies under his belt with Spain.
At the top of that, he won several titles with various teams in Russia, Italy and Spain. He is still the head coach of the Spanish national team as he’s preparing to lead them in the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer.
