Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is known for being almost unstoppable on the offensive end. Former NBA player Jay Williams recently called him the best one-man offense in the league history.

The two-time MVP delivered another big-time performance in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Lakers as he scored 23 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and dished out 12 rebounds for his 13th playoff triple-double.

But Denver’s head coach Michael Malone thought that it was Jokic who deserved the Defensive Player of the Game chain.

“I’m going to give this [chain] to Nikola Jokic,” Malone said as he proceeded to give the chain to the Serbian superstar. “His 13th career triple-double, but your defense all night long in pick and rolls, your communication on the bench was outstanding Nikola. Great job.”

During the postgame press conference Jokic was asked about getting the chain and what was working that he was doing on Anthony Davis. Joker snickered mid-question as soon as the chain was mentioned.

“To be honest it’s not just me,” he said. “I have backup behind me and I have a guy who is kind of right next to me. So it’s not just my defensive chain. It’s supposed to go to everybody.

“I think our defense especially in the fourth quarter… completely two different games. We scored both 100 points, last game was 135 points. It was kind of a little bit ugly game if that makes any sense. But it’s not just me, it’s everybody.”
