D’Angelo Russell struggled with his shot in Game 2 of the first round series between the Lakers and Grizzlies. The 27-year-old point guard made just 2 of 11 shots (1/5 from three).

“Just missed some shots. I liked the shots I was getting honestly. Just missing them,” he said when asked if Memphis defense caused his poor shooting night

During the postgame interview Russell was also asked what he as a point guard can do to help Anthony Davis who scored just 13 points in Game 2. The player did not agree that his role is that of a point guard.

“Basketball player, you can’t keep saying point guard,” Russell interrupted the reporter. “Basketball player… Basketball player with this team, not really a point guard role, you just hoop.”
