Andrew Wiggins made progress this week, appearing in practices twice and was “really good” on his performance, per head coach Steve Kerr (h/t C.J. Holmes of The San Francisco Chronicle).

As such, in an interview with 95.7 The Game, Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers has noted that all signs are pointing towards Wiggins being available on their first-round playoff opener against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.

Wiggins has missed the Warriors’ last 25 games of the 2022-23 regular season as he attended an important family matter, specifically the health complications of his father, Mitchell Wiggins. He left in Feb. 13 and made a return to the defending champs last Apr. 14, but the Dubs opted to allow him to condition himself in preparation for the playoffs.

The star forward averaged 17.1 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season. He also shot 47.3 percent from the field and 39.6 percent from the three-point distance.

Meanwhile, Kerr has noted that veteran Andre Iguodala, who underwent surgery last month to repair a left wrist fracture he sustained in mid-March, remains “ways-off” from returning to action and hasn’t practiced yet.

Golden State will provide their utmost update on Iguodala’s status of recovery on Apr. 21.
