San Antonio Spurs big Zach Collins underwent a finger surgery Saturday to address the infection of the laceration on his left hand, per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.

Collins took the surgery in San Antonio after he was sent home by the club upon the swelling of his finger following the team’s Thursday victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Per Collins, there’s no definite timetable yet regarding his return, though he will have a full offseason of 2023 to make a steady recovery with the regular season has already ended for the Spurs.

The big man was reportedly slated to start at center for the Spurs next season as confirmed by head coach Gregg Popovich. He averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 boards, and 2.9 assists while shooting 51.8 percent from the field last 2022-23 regular season.
