The Lakers closed a spell of five home games with the loss against the Bulls (108-118), despite having LeBron James return to the lineup.

According to Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, Chicago played the game with more energy and physicality than his team.

“My hat’s off to the Chicago Bulls,” Ham said after the game. “They’re sort of fighting to get in position like we are. To secure a position.

“They came out with a sense of urgency tonight. We came out little flat, turned the ball early. We weren’t aggressive enough, physical enough. I thought they were great defensively on that side. Offensively they played physical, they made shots.

“At the end of the day, nobody is going to feel sorry for you. We let one slip here at home finished up 3-2 on this home stand. But now we got to shift gears, go back look at the film, put the film together and see how we can start this upcoming road trip out on the right foot.”
