Italian champion Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari made a first addition to its roster this offseason by signing point guard Marquez Haynes to a one-year deal, the club announced on Monday.

Haynes (1.88 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, where he spent his second full Euroleague campaign last season.

He averaged 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists coming off the bench in 25 Euroleague games for Maccabi. In the Israeli League, Haynes had 8.3 points, 2.3 assist and 2 rebounds per game.

Haynes returns to Italy, where he previously played for EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Montepaschi Siena during the 2013-14 season. Haynes started playing professionally in 2010 with Chalon-sur-Saone in France, and also played with Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas in Spain and Artland Dragons in Germany.
