After the Grizzlies defeated the Mavericks (112-108), Dillon Brooks attempted to do a jersey swap with Kyrie Irving, but the latter apparently missed the gesture.

According to the Memphis guard-forward, there is no previous relationship between him and Kyrie, but he is a big fan of the 2016 NBA champion.

“I’m a fan of Kyrie for everything he stands for,” Brooks said postgame. “The way he uses his platform, his basketball game. When you’re growing up, you want to be aspired to be able to do what he does.

“He’s just like Kobe. He’s just like Jordan and those guys. He plays the game at a different place. He uses both hands, mid-range God. And that’s where I want to be at one day, be able to shoot the ball more.”
