Mindaugas Kuzminskas has been told that he is not allowed to play in the NBA Summer League after his invitation by the Boston Celtics was turned down by Unicaja Malaga.
“I got an invitation to play in the NBA Summer League. I would go but Malaga did not allow me to play there. I can’t prove myself there,” the Lithuanian international told La Opinion de Malaga.
The Euroleague side opted in of his contract for next season and Kuzminskas’ buyout clause is now worth €1 million.
The 25-year-old averaged 10 points and 4.5 rebounds for Unicaja in the Euroleague last season.
