The Nike brand officially released its own statement on Saturday in light of the controversies surrounding Ja Morant.
The multinational company expressed its support for the Memphis Grizzlies star’s willingness to redeem himself and be accountable for his actions.
Morant has been representing the swoosh before he took his talents to the NBA in 2019. This season, the star point man officially laced up his first signature shoe with the brand, the Ja 1.
Morant already expressed his apology after he was dipped into the hot water upon flashing a gun during his recent Instagram live. He was suspended by at least two games by the Grizzlies franchise, while the NBA is looking to further investigate his case.
