The Warriors brought back fan-favorite Gary Payton II who was part of last year’s championship winning team via a trade from the Trail Blazers, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
In return Golden State sent five second-round picks to Portland as well as Kevin Knox whom they acquired from the Pistons in the James Wiseman trade.
This season Payton is averaging 3.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 16.6 minutes per game.
