The Hornets are expected to start a rebuilding process and to construct a team around LaMelo Ball. Latest trade rumors support that theory.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Charlotte is discussing Kelly Oubre Jr. and Mason Plumlee — two of the team’s starters — in trade conversations.

Oubre is averaging 20.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 32.6 minutes per game this season. In December the 27-year-old shooting guard underwent a surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left hand.

Plumlee, 32, is averaging 12.2 points, 9.7 rebound and 3.6 assists in 28.2 minutes per game.
