It was the second game for Tyrese Maxey after he missed a month and a half with an injury. The 22-year-old point guard came off the bench and scored 12 points in 27 minutes of play as the 76ers defeated the Pelicans (120-111).

After the game, Maxey talked about how he felt during the game. “Just being comfortable,” he said when asked how different this game felt compared to the game on Friday. “Being comfortable and taking the shots that you know you can make.

“Right now, the rhythm is kind of thrown off just because it’s been a month and a half or however long it’s been. But I felt really comfortable. I felt comfortable guarding.

“I think that was one of the main things that had to come back and I felt comfortable switching and running in transition and flying up and down the court. So it was great. I’m glad we got the win, also.”

This season Maxey is averaging 22 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 35.3 minutes per game.
