Atlanta Hawks head coach Nate McMillan applauded Los Angeles Lakers center Thomas Bryant for his dominant effort in the paint on Friday (19 points/17 rebounds/1 assist/1 steal/1 block/8-10 FG/3-3 FT in a 130-121 road win).

(via Wepa.Fm):

“[Thomas] Bryant just dominated the paint. We had our center at times, our bigs, guarding LeBron [James]. So if you got one big out on the perimeter, you’re pretty small for us without Clint [Capela] and De’Andre [Hunter] in the game. So of course, you want to be better on the boards. But LeBron was bigger than every guy we had tonight. He’s the 4. We had Onyeka [Okongwu], John [Collins], and Jalen [Johnson] trying to stay in front of him while boxing out Bryant, who did a good job of placing himself under the basket. So when we were rotating, normally it was a small down there picking him up and he took advantage of that.”
