The Charlotte Hornets held off the Los Angeles Lakers 134-130 Friday night for only their second victory in 11 games. P.J. Washington scored 24 points, while LaMelo Ball had 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Charlotte.
“We knew they were going to make a run,” said Mason Plumlee, who had 11 points and eight rebounds, via ESPN. “They’ve got a lot of good players, but we answered the call.”
