It is already mid-December, but Carmelo Anthony is still without a team. Recently, there was interest from a Taiwanese team in the 10-time NBA All-Star. However, Melo did not even consider it as he remains focused on returning to the NBA.

One team that always comes up when talking about Anthony is the Knicks, a team he spent seven of his prime years with. But it appears that New York is not interested in signing its former star, even for a bench role.

According to a source who spoke with Steve Popper of Newsday, the Knicks do not think that the 38-year-old veteran fits the team’s style of play, particularly on the defensive end.

Last season Anthony spent with the Lakers, averaging 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1 assist in 26 minutes per game.
