After nine years with the Jazz, Rudy Gobert visited Utah as an opposing player for the first time in his career.

The French center had one of the best games of this season so far as he scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, helping the Timberwolves take the win (118-108).

After the game the three-time Defensive Player of the Year admitted that it was a little emotional for him to hear the fans support him. Even the boos that he received, he respected them.

“It was hard for me to really go through all the emotions because I was so focused on the game. But hearing all the love, the fans … it was a little emotional. … The fans booing me a little at the free-throw line, I respect,” Gobert said, per Eric Walden.
