NBA legend Charles Barkley is of the opinion that this iteration of the Bulls is not going to win a championship this years or in the next couple of years and, therefore, the time has come to start a rebuild.

“Oh and let me tell you something. I hate to break it to you, it’s time to break up the Bulls too,” Barkley said on Waddle & Silvy of ESPN Chicago. “Yes blow it up, it’s time. You got some good players, you’re not good enough… It’s time to start the rebuild.

“Listen, they’re not going to win a championship this year or in the next couple of years. You got to start to rebuild. You got to really start to rebuild and start over.”

In terms how the rebuild should be done, Barkley thinks the way to go is to trade Chicago’s best players to get draft picks or young players.

“Come on man, you’re guys are not even close. The Celtics and the Bucks are on the whole another level than the Easter Conference. You guys are not even as good as the Cavs,” the former NBA MVP said.
